Registration Procedures
Find a Vacant place in your district
First of all, you have to find the place to start Akashaya Centre. It’s not up to you to decide the place, but you can only start the centre in the vacant area of your district or any other district other than yours.
You can find the Vacant place to start the centre through the official website at http://www.akshaya.kerala.gov.in/notices/183/vacant-akshaya-centres-in-districts
When loading the page, you’ll find a link to find the vacant Akshaya centre district-wise.
Click on the District you want to start the common service centre.
That will show all of the places available to start the centre.
At the bottom of the page, you’ll find the district contact details to contact the government, we call the Akshaya district project office. You’ll find the useful email address, website link, physical address, phone number, etc.
Contact them.
Apply for the Akshaya district project officer
The application form can be obtained from the district project office. Contact them to get the form. After that fill it with the necessary details that are asked.
Attach the documents regarding the address proof of the applicant, It could be any of the government-issued documents that contain the address printed in clear. It could be the Aadhaar card, SSLC certificate, Voter’s ID card, Driving License, Passport, etc.
You should submit the original copy with the application. The district project officer will validate the document and return it to you.
They will enter all of the details in an online portal to the Akshaya state officer at Trivandrum.
Registration fees
You have to pay a registration fee to the government. The fee amount completely depends on the district and the location of the centre you are going to put. The fee amount will be decided by the district officer.
Approval from state Akshaya project officer
The submitted application will go through a validation process both by the district as well as the state project officer. When the application is received by the state officer, the district officer will do the rest of the procedures.
Inspection
This is a very important process. You should do all of the requirements needed to start the common service centre with a Kerala state government license. It’s called inspection.
You have to set up the centre with all of the above-mentioned requirements. The customers should be aware that the centre is Akshaya, so paste the Akshaya logo and other cuttings, and that can be downloaded from the official website.
The district officer will give a date for the inspection process. If you need more time, you can request the officer more time to completely set up the centre.
If you are confident that you have followed all the guidance provided by the government, you can invite for the inspection.
The project officer will visit your centre and examine all the things. If they are satisfied with the rules that you have followed, they will give you the licence in the next two weeks.
If you have to improve the centre, they will notify you and will continue the inspection on another day.
After completing the inspection, you need to wait a few days to get the confirmation from the department. They’ll let you know through E-mail address and Via a phone call. The licence will be sent through the post office.
Training Camp
You may not be completely efficient in running a common service centre. As a part of giving a franchisee to a person for Akshaya, once they are satisfied with your application, and once the franchisee is approved, you’ll get training from the department.
You should attend the training camp. The department will give you all the training and the training period may vary, but it may take up to 2 weeks to complete the training procedures.
The camp centre can be the district office or any other institute the department arranged for training. The complete training will be provided, and you can ask any doubt you may have during the session. They’ll teach everything needed to run the CSC like how to use eDistrict Kerala portal and various web applications that can be used to provide Government services for the people, etc. And they will give some tasks to test how much you understand the session class.
